Practical Advice
Listen and Offer Support
Be there for them without judgment. Sometimes, just knowing someone cares can make a huge difference.
Encourage Professional Help
Suggest they talk to a mental health professional. You can help them find resources or even accompany them to appointments.
Stay Connected
Regular check-ins can provide ongoing support and show that you care.
Remove Access to Means
If possible, reduce access to items that could be used in a suicide attempt, such as firearms or medications.
Remember, reaching out can save a life.
Let's support each other and create a community where everyone feels valued and heard.
